How to Toast Black Walnuts

Toasting Black Walnuts makes the nuts crunchier, while adding texture and more flavor to just about any dish. We love using toasted Black Walnuts as a robust topping to salads, steamed vegetables, and pasta.  Toasted nuts are also great to eat alone as a nutritional snack or mixed with your favorite trail mix.

Here’s our quick and easy method for toasting Black Walnuts.

Toasted Black Walnuts

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Spread a single layer of Black Walnuts on a cookie sheet. Bake in oven for 10 minutes. Stir nuts, then bake for an additional 10-15 minutes. Once cooled, store in an airtight container until ready to use.

2 cups flaked coconut

3 cups toasted Black Walnuts
